Top Canadian after the dressage phase with an impressive score of 44.10. A lost shoe on cross country hampered the final results. Selena finished 46th place overall at the 2008 Olympic Games.
Selena O'Hanlon & Columbo are no strangers to the members of the Rideau Pony Club. Currently three members of Rideau; Anne Marie, Jenifer and Danielle, are live-in working students at Hawkridge farm near Elgin where Selena and her Mom/Coach/Trainer, Morag operate a world class equestrian training center. |

June 14th we lost one of the most gentlemanly and charismatic horse we ever met. Suni was part of our family for eleven years and probably single handed taught us more about horses than any book. A Percheron/Throughbred, he stood 16.2 and very much a gentle giant and true to his mount. Danielle couldn't wait to grow into him. She trained him under the coaching of Mark Isenberg, Pat Burgess, Morag O'Hanlon and Selena O'Hanlon. Together they accomplished Rider level 1 & 2, Pony Club C, C1 and C2 and were to be testing B this summer. They placed first at Thread Needle Horse trials at Entry level in 2005 and second place in Pre-training in 2007. Champion First level Dressage 2007, a tenth at Canterdown and many other personal accomplishments along the way. |
